Letters

Standard, registered and insured letters accept for sending within Latvia. It is recommended to insure especially valuable documents when sending them in a letter. In this case the whole letter’s path shall be registered in documents, and it shall be handed over to a recipient against his signature.

The standard and registered letters are meant for sending personal and business notes, invoices, bills, photographs, picture postcards, and sound recordings - speaking letters.

The inland insured letters are meant for sending both standard and valuable documents (diplomas, passports, birth and marriage certificates, pension and legal case files, lottery tickets, etc.), photographs, picture postcards, printed matter, postage stamps and other similar items and documents, which are considered valuable for the sender and recipient.

The international insured letters are meant for sending valuable documents.
